It's the weekend!

I love weekends—a lot. That's when mommy and I get to go off and have fun together.

Last weekend we went to Mississippi to visit my godmother Jenna and her family. We had a great time playing with Maribeth and Zach. And, this weekend, we went to the park with Miss Dana, Eli, and baby Will. And... I hear next weekend we're going to the beach. Wow, how fun. Talk to you later.

Baking with Daddy

Last night, daddy and I baked brownies. Actually, he baked and I taste-tested the batter. We had such a good time and the brownies turned out really yummy too. I took some to Ms. Megan's house for the other babies and mommy and daddy took some to work. Hope you're having a wonderful week. Talk to you later.

Happy Times

Babies are naturally happy. Trust me, I know. But when you add in all the great stuff that's been going on in my life, I think I am happier than most.

Let's see... my garden is doing great. Mommy and I have harvested—and eaten—three cucumbers out of the garden already and more are on the way. We also have tomatoes that are getting bigger every day. Here's a picture of my very first cucumber; isn't it beautiful?!

I think I'll share the next batch of cucumbers with my next door neighbors. They are always sharing with us so I think they'd like a cucumber or two.

Then, my grandmama came to visit! She was supposed to get here on Friday but Delta kept her in Detroit until Saturday. No worries, we made up for the lost time by spending every minute together. We went swimming and to the park and to church and to Target and out to dinner and read tons of books and just had a wonderful time together.

The outfit I'm wearing in the picture at the top of today's entry is one of the many wonderful things she brought me in her suitcase. I miss her and can't wait to see her in October.

Oh, I've also learned to boogy! My two favorite songs are Funkytown and Boom Boom Pow. Both have a great beat and are easy to dance to. Grandma made a video of my jamming to Funkytown with mommy and daddy. I danced myself silly; it was great!

Hope you're still enjoying your summer. Talk to you later.

Mid-Summer's Afternoon

Hope you're having a wonderful summer. I know I am. I've been to the pool, the playground, the museum, and my grandmama is coming next weekend. Hooray! Lots more has been going on but I don't have time to update you right now... I'm supposed to be taking a nap. Talk to you later!

Happy 8th of July

I'm a few days late to wish you a happy 4th of July but the 8th works just as well. Hopefully you had a wonderful holiday weekend like I did.

As I mentioned in my previous post, my godmother, Jenna came to visit from Mississippi with her children, Maribeth and Zach. We had several wonderful days of playtime, grilling out, shopping, and all around getting spoiled.
Here are some pictures from our weekend together. Talk to you later.

What Have You Been Up To?

Hi there, I know long time, no post. It's been busy here. Father's Day was last weekend so I had to make sure daddy had a wonderful day.

And there was my friend Sarah's birthday party. And volunteering at Piedmont Park with the Target Crew. And of course, going to the varsity with my friend Amber. See, it's been a really busy summer so far.

And next weekend, Maribeth and Zach are coming over to play.

How ever is a baby to manage such a busy social calendar? Oh, that's what mommy is for. Hope you're having a wonderful day. Talk to you later.

Saturday

After several busy weeks and weekends, we were all home together today. Daddy didn't have to work, mommy didn't have to work, and I didn't have to work either. To celebrate, I allowed everyone to sleep in this morning.
After we were all dressed, mommy and I went to the card store to get birthday cards for great-grandma Nell, Aunt Teri, and two of mommy's friends from work. While we were there we also got daddy a Father's Day card...shhhh, don't tell him.
Then we went to the post office, the dry cleaners, and to get mommy's eyebrows done at the international mall. Running errands sure takes it out of you so I took a nap when we got home after chatting with grandma and singing her some tunes.
My friend Ruby came over later and we went to the park. I'm old enough now that I can go down the big kid's slide and daddy and I went down the tunnel slide... twice!
Today was a great day. I'm off to bed now. Talk to you later.
