Happy Turkey Day

Here's hoping you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your friends and family.

This Thanksgiving I discovered parades... lots of them. They were on every channel; it was great. I saw the Yo Gabba Gabba float, the Dora balloon, Kermit, Snoopy, and the marching bands.

For some, Santa is the highlight of the parade. But I don't know who he is, so for me. the best part was seeing the Rockettes doing their high kicks. I did some too; it was really fun. Maybe one day I can be a Rockette.

After the parades, breakfast, and a nap we had a lovely dinner with ham, macaroni and cheese, dressing, green beans, and sweet potato souffle. We talked about what we were most thankful for. For me, it was you--my friends and family. Oh, and swings, Mr. Ribbit, and my Brown Bear puzzle game, and my Dora books, and slides, and Baby Tad, and my princess card, and the great playground near my house, and my tea set... you get the idea.

After dinner, daddy and I went to the Hawks basketball game. It was really fun. Altough it was my first basketball game, I'm happy to say I am now a huge fan of the game. We had such a wonderful day, hope you did too! Talk to you later.

Trick or Treat

Halloween, Halloween, trick or treat, what fun! Did you know that if you go to someone's door and say trick or treat they will give you candy? Try it; it worked for me... again and again tonight. Mommy and I went over to Miss Gina's house for a Halloween party and marshmallow roast. We were all dressed up in silly, cute costumes. After a quick dinner, we went trick or treating in the neighborhood. I tried to keep up, but was slowed down by the tasty goodness in my pumpkin. A nice lady gave me a lollipop and I had to taste it immediately. I think I ate 4, maybe 5, lollipops tonight but I lost count. Mommy took my pumpkin to keep me from eating more. I have to find it. Talk to you later.

Continuing to Celebrate

I like having a birthday week; there's been so much going on. Yesterday, for my birthday, we went to Berry Patch Farms to see the pumpkins. There weren't that many pumpkins to see but we had fun with the few that were there. The farm was very far from the house so I sang and danced to entertain everyone on the drive up.

Once we got there, we were surprised to see there were only a few pumpkins. We came last year and there were lots to see. Oh well... our fun was in being together. And, as you can see from the pictures, I found a couple to sit on... and met a very nice scarecrow.

After our nap, we went to Maggiano's for dinner. I wasn't really hungry but mommy let me eat a whole pat of butter, much to grandma's chagrin. Hey, you're only a baby once and butter really is tasty. You should try some. Talk to you later.

My Birthday Week

Tomorrow is my birthday but I started celebrating early. Thursday, I shared birthday cake with my friends at Miss Janette's; it was chocolate. Then, on Friday, my grandma got here from Detroit. And today, we had a big party with lots of friends and family at the jumpy place. We ran and played and went down the super big slides. I had a really good time. After playing, we enjoyed McDonald's french fries and cake. The cake had Dora and Diego on it. It was very tasty.

All that playing wore my out so when we came home I took a nice long nap; I think mommy, daddy, and grandma did too. Then we went to my favorite mexican restaurant and they sang happy birthday to me there too!
Now, I'm off to bed and daddy is putting together my new Dora tricycle. Today was a great day; tomorrow will be too. Talk to you later.

Vacation

We've been on vacation for the past week. For vacation, we went to the beach in Hilton Head, SC. It was wonderful. Five days of rest and relaxation... just what a baby needed to rejuvinate. We did so much stuff... went to the beach, visited two lighthouses (I climbed to the top of one of them!), went to Savannah and Tybee Island, to the museum, the jumpy place, the swimming pool, and plenty of restaurants. But most of all, we enjoyed being together. Here are some pictures from our wonderful time away.

We visited Harbour Town at the south end of the island. There were lots of really big boats in the marina there and a lighthouse. I climbed the 114 steps to the top with a little help from daddy. I came down all by myself.

We also visited the lighthouse on Tybee Island. Unfortunately, we were there on a Tuesday (they're closed on Tuesdays) so I wasn't able to test my stair climbing at that lighthouse. Mommy told me that she and daddy climbed that one a few years ago (498 steps!) and it was quite taller than the one at Hilton Head.

We went to the Sandbox Museum on the island and Island Playground in Bluffton. At the Sandbox we drew, painted, had a tea party, and played in sand. We had a really great time there. At the Island Playground I got to dig for dinosaur bones... I wasn't as interested in the bones as I was in how cute I looked in the gloves.

Above all the things we did, my favorite activity was being on the beach with mommy, daddy, and Mr. Ribbit. We tried to build sandcastles (not very successful), played in the waves, looked for seashells, and had a good time. I wish every week could be like this. Hopefully you had a good week too. Talk to you later.

It's the weekend!

I love weekends—a lot. That's when mommy and I get to go off and have fun together.

Last weekend we went to Mississippi to visit my godmother Jenna and her family. We had a great time playing with Maribeth and Zach. And, this weekend, we went to the park with Miss Dana, Eli, and baby Will. And... I hear next weekend we're going to the beach. Wow, how fun. Talk to you later.

Baking with Daddy

Last night, daddy and I baked brownies. Actually, he baked and I taste-tested the batter. We had such a good time and the brownies turned out really yummy too. I took some to Ms. Megan's house for the other babies and mommy and daddy took some to work. Hope you're having a wonderful week. Talk to you later.
