My Birthday Week

Vacation
We visited Harbour Town at the south end of the island. There were lots of really big boats in the marina there and a lighthouse. I climbed the 114 steps to the top with a little help from daddy. I came down all by myself.
We also visited the lighthouse on Tybee Island. Unfortunately, we were there on a Tuesday (they're closed on Tuesdays) so I wasn't able to test my stair climbing at that lighthouse. Mommy told me that she and daddy climbed that one a few years ago (498 steps!) and it was quite taller than the one at Hilton Head.
We went to the Sandbox Museum on the island and Island Playground in Bluffton. At the Sandbox we drew, painted, had a tea party, and played in sand. We had a really great time there. At the Island Playground I got to dig for dinosaur bones... I wasn't as interested in the bones as I was in how cute I looked in the gloves.
Above all the things we did, my favorite activity was being on the beach with mommy, daddy, and Mr. Ribbit. We tried to build sandcastles (not very successful), played in the waves, looked for seashells, and had a good time. I wish every week could be like this. Hopefully you had a good week too. Talk to you later.

It's the weekend!
I love weekends—a lot. That's when mommy and I get to go off and have fun together.
Last weekend we went to Mississippi to visit my godmother Jenna and her family. We had a great time playing with Maribeth and Zach. And, this weekend, we went to the park with Miss Dana, Eli, and baby Will. And... I hear next weekend we're going to the beach. Wow, how fun. Talk to you later.

Happy Times
Let's see... my garden is doing great. Mommy and I have harvested—and eaten—three cucumbers out of the garden already and more are on the way. We also have tomatoes that are getting bigger every day.
Then, my grandmama came to visit! She was supposed to get here on Friday but Delta kept her in Detroit until Saturday. No worries, we made up for the lost time by spending every minute together. We went swimming and to the park and to church and to Target and out to dinner and read tons of books and just had a wonderful time together.
The outfit I'm wearing in the picture at the top of today's entry is one of the many wonderful things she brought me in her suitcase. I miss her and can't wait to see her in October.
Oh, I've also learned to boogy! My two favorite songs are Funkytown and Boom Boom Pow. Both have a great beat and are easy to dance to. Grandma made a video of my jamming to Funkytown with mommy and daddy. I danced myself silly; it was great!
Hope you're still enjoying your summer. Talk to you later.
